The Moldova national team drew (1: 1) in the first qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup. After Ion Nicolaescu opened the scoring at the beginning of the meeting, the Faroe Islands team bounced back in the 83rd minute with the efforts of Meinhard Olsen.

Only one player of the "yellow-blacks" took part in the match - Veaceslav Posmac helped the team, playing all 90 minutes of the game. Alexander Belousov and Dumitru Celeadnic remained on the bench.

 

Meanwhile, several of our legionnaires played in their national teams. The African Cup of Nations matches are held on the African continent. The Malawi national team won an away victory over South Sudan (1: 0). Charles Petro played all 90 minutes of the meeting, however, like Peter Banda, who was substituted in stoppage time. But the national team of Mali in a similar tournament lost to Guinea (0: 1). Adama Traore played 77 minutes in the match, while Moussa Kyabou remained on the bench.

Sebastien Thill has also been called  for the Luxembourg national team for the 2022 World Cup European Qualifiers. Our midfielder has already played a friendly match against the Qatar national team - Luxembourg lost, missing the only goal. Luxembourg will play an away match against Ireland tomorrow.
