Otelul - presenting the opponent
Otelul is the Romanian football club, who has played last several decades in the top league of their country. Last years they played in European competitions, won the Romanian cup. Their last championship title Otelul got in the 2010-2011 season. This trophy gave the team the right to present Romania in UEFA Champions League, where they played against Basel, Benfica and Manchester United.
Club colours are - red, white and blue. Now the team is managed by former Romanian international Viorel Tanase.
Let's go deeper in the history. Otelul was founded in the year of 1964. At that time the club had a competition in their own town - FC Dunarea. After some time Otelul became the main football force in the region. The team first got into Division A in the year of 1986, and in 1988 had their debut in UEFA Cup where in the first game they beat Juventus 1-0.
In the year of 2004 Otelul played in Romanian cup final, which they lost to Dinamo Bucuresti.
Now Otelul has not very good times in the championship - 15th place after 15 match days and struggle for survival. But this doesn't make the opponent easier for Sheriff - without any doubts we will see a good and spectacular games, that can answer many questions.
