FC Rapid - FC Sheriff. Match report
On the 17th match day Rapid met Sheriff. From the first minutes yellow-blacks took posession, creating danger for Livsit goal. Stanojevic appeared in the penalty box and made a shot, but the ball went wide. Luvannor produced not so powerful shot and Livsit could grab the ball. Then Georghiev made a good pass to Pesic, but Aleksandar just was not in time for the ball. Soon the referee appointed penalty in Sheriff's favour. After Gheorghiev's shot one of the defenders played the ball with the hand. Samardzic was good from the point. Dedov could also score but couldn't make a good strike and there was no result. The first half finished 1-0 in Sheriff's favour.
As soon as the game began in the second half, yellow-blacks managed to score the second goal. Pascenco gave a good pass to Pesic, sending him one on one, and Aleksandar converted the opportunity to the goal. Next Sheriff attack also was created by Pascenco, who gave a good pass to Gheorghiev, but Serghei's shot went above the crossbar. Rapid had then a dangerous counter-attack. There was a mess in our penalty box and Doros was first on the ball, but Zveaghintev was there to parry it. In the end of the second half Stanojevic could score a goal, but his shot hit the post.

- It was a hard game, unfortunately we lost again. The team conceded two silly goals - from penalty and because of the mistake in defence. It's a pity, we tried to do our best to change the result, changed the tactics, began to attack more actively, but couldn't create real opportunities.

- The coaches tried to encourage us and motivate for this game. Anyway we always go out to play with Sheriff with great motivation, despite of the previous results. Т
The team had a good streak, and now lost two consecutive matches. Maybe it is all about fatigue?
- No, we are always ready. I think we have psychological problem. We played not bad, occupied 3rd place and then we began to have problems. We have to win again and everything will be good.
