Today in Chisinau at the Dinamo stadium there was played the away match of quarterfinals of the Moldova Cup, in which Academia from Chisinau hosted Sheriff from Tiraspol. The first match of these opponents had a null draw, which caused some intrigue, taking into consideration the results of the last matches results of the yellow-blacks at the academicians' pitch.
              

In the first half the teams showed rather viscous game with lots of fighting, which resulted in multiple standards. Mostly because of them the dangerous moments appeared near opponents' goals. The Academicians distinguished themselves with Bludny's two shots from the penalty areas. In both cases the ball just passed by very close to the goal frame. Sheriff's shots were more precise but the last frontier was guarded by the goali Copelchuk. Namely him managed to catch the dead ball, shot by Vazha Tarkhnishvili from the penalty kick right to the crossbar.

        

The mode of the second half did not differ significantly from the first one. Right to 90' Academia lost its position in the defense and Nadson led Erokhin for the killing position. Unfortunately, the Russian midfielder missed the ball. The game smoothly flowed to the overtime - 2x15'.

        

A fatal for Academicians was minute 94', when Rouamba after Rodriguez' corner found himself at the far post and headed the ball to the net. African's single goal brought the needed victory to Sheriff.

           

Our team managed to get the pass to the Moldova Cup semifinal, where Iskra Stal from Rybnitsa is waiting. The duels will start on April 14 and 28. The draw, which will take place on Wednesday, will determine the host and the guest.
