In the central match of 24^th round of the Championship of Moldova Sheriff with the result of 3:0 defeated its main competitor “Iskra-Stal” from Rybnitsa. By this victory the yellow-blacks moved closer to the jubilee title of the Champion. 9 rounds before the end Andrey Sosnitsky’s players have a 10 point advantage over the team from Rybnitsa.

           

Iskra-Stal met twice Sheriff this eason. In the first circle, steelmakers were beaten 0:5. In the second circle, Vlad Goian’s players in the home game managed to fight against the yellow-blacks, but were defeated with a smaller loss 0:1.

          

In Sheriff starting line-up from the very first minutes on the right attacking side there played Sergey Gheorghiev, and Senegalese Andre Diedhiou was sitting at the sub bench. Constantin Arbanas plays the second game in a row at the position of the right defender. For the first time in the line-up sheet there appeared newcomer Miral Samardzic, and Marco Djurovic who recovered after injury. Miral played for several minutes and Marko managed to distinguish himself for the first time

        

In the first time the teams were not so acute as in the second one. Unworried game was not reaching serious moments to be realized into goals. But anyway the teams created something. To the end of the quarter Brankovic after the standard made a curved pass to the penalty area, where Bulat shot with his head. Alexander Popovich was at the last frontier. Practically from the goal line he managed to kick the ball out of the box.

          

Right away the steelmakers stroke back. Mihalev from Sheriff penalty area line made a precise shot, which was not strong enough to create problems for our goalie Vlad Stoyanov. This is the way the first half was played. Leaving for the break Rybnitsa team had a thought to grasp for at least some points.

          

In the second half Tiraspol team disturbed the guests goal net three times. The first got there on 55’. After Adamovic’s corner, Volkov headed the ball past the goalie who walked out of the goal, right to Jimmi’s foot, and the Brazilian hit the bull’s eye – 1:0. After the missed goal, Rybnitsa team staked their all. Open football started. The teams started to play tough and foul at every spot of the pitch. For coarse actions Emelyanov (70’) from Iskra and Erokhin (86’) from Sheriff were sent off the field.

           

Having the advantage in numbers, the yellow-blacks moved forward and distinguished themselves again. This time Bulat became the author of the goal. Arbanas led Gheorghiev to the operational space, Sergey from the right flange made a lobbed pass to the far post, where No.27 of Sheriff being on duty headed the ball – 2:0. Right before the final whistle Sheriff made the score indecent for the steelmakers. After Khachaturov’s great pass to the left flange and Volkov’s precise lob, Djurovic while falling scored his first goal for the new club with his head and makes the final result 3:0.

            

FC Sheriff moved itself one step closer to the Champion’s title, having the advantage before Iskra for 10 points. The ¼ away match of the Moldova Cup will be played against Academia in Chisinau on March 30. The home game finished 0:0. To remind you that the winner of this pair will play in the semifinal against today’s Sheriff opponent.
