Andrey Sosnitsky: Victories with a big result always make happy
Post-match press-conference
/ 17 March
After the duel Sheriff vs. Nistru, in which the yellow-blacks won with a crushing result 5:0, head coaches of both teams met journalists.

Andrey Sosnitsky, Sheriff head coach:

- Well, of course, I’m satisfied with the result. Victories with a big result always make happy. As far as the game is concerned, we played a rather good first half – both the game content and moment realization. I am not satisfied with the second half. The game broke, guys started to do what they wanted, and not what they needed to. Started to keep the ball for a longer time, and lose the ball more often. It all looked inexpressively. But, in general, it’s good that we won the match with a big result. We may forget about this victory and get prepped for the next match against Nistru. It’s always difficult to play with the same team twice, especially after such a big victory.

But on the other hand, it’s easier for you as a coach, that there are two games with Nistru before important matches against Dacia and Iskra. It’s understandable that the opponent is not so great and you may experiment with the line-up.
- Of course. That’s how we planned – to let some players have rest and let some play. Today the opponent’s level allows us to do that before serious matches with direct candidates for the gold.

There is a thing in football that players nullify their cautions. Today’s cautions of Arbanas and Volkov – is this the case?
- Difficult to say. Regarding Arbanas, I do not know. Regarding Volkov, maybe he had it in his mind. Because there will be complicated matches and none wants to miss them. Of course, ideally not to have any cautions. But it does not happen in football.
