Tiraspol Derby was played on March 7, in the indoor stadium of SC “Sheriff. Sheriff was the host, FC Tiraspol were the guests. Just to remind you that in the first part the “red-green” ones managed to defeat our team with the result 1:0.

                    

The yellow-black ones got their own back from the townsmen in today’s match, by beating them 2:0. Yastrebov’s odd own goal and Gheorghiev’s great shot under the crossbar brought victory to the first team under the management of the new head coach Andrey Sosnitsky.

                  

FC Tiraspol played in the winter season break 8 test games. In 2 matches they managed to win, and the remaining six games Yuri Blonar’s players played a draw. The line-up of the townsmen was added by Sheriff players Victor Trukhanov and Andrey Verbetsky. FC Tiraspol also kept their goalkeeper Seghei Juric, who had been under test with the yellow-blacks and participated n the training camp with the 9-fold champions at Cyprus.

                  

Vladislav Stoyanov, the goalkeeper from Bulgaria, made his debut in this match, who saved his team from goals. Leaping ahead, we may say, his first game was successful. It’s also necessary to indicate the appearance of to side defenders: Alexander Skipchenko on the right (though his original position is the central defender) and Serghei Dulger on the left. The appearance of the two young players is determined by the fact that Rustam Tsynya just returned from the camp of the national team of Ukraine and Vladimir Brankovic had to miss the derby because of cautions. From the first minites there appeared Serghei Gheorghiev and Jarko Korac.

                    

The opponents approached the derby with certain ambitions. Sheriff after two unsuccessful games against Academia and Olimpia, without scoring any goal, decided to fix the situation in the match against Tiraspol. Actually, there was a debt left from last August. As the word is, it’s no good to be a debtor, for which the yellow-black paid back with pleasure. For the red-greens – it was the first official match after a 3-months hibernation. It could have been a real pleasure for Blonar’s players to start the second part of the championship by beating Sheriff.

                  

The first minutes the nominal guests were having a slight advantage. Nichiloglo on his left flange was trying to threaten his opponent. However, his efforts to create dangerous situations near Stoyanov’s goal were swiftly interrupted the Sheriff defensive reduits headed by Vazha Tarkhnishvili. In one of such attacks, right away, without any slowdown, Arbanas passed the ball to Gheorgheiv. No.8 managed to beat two defenders and tried to lead Korac for a scoring position. Juric grabbed the ball by going out of the goal.

                    

On 10’ the red-greens performed their first serious attack. Bondarchuk from the depth of the pitch found Nichiloglo, in return he played a wall with Trukhanov, who without stopping, with his heel passes the round one to Nichiloglo. Having trudged on the flange, the townsman shot to the penalty area to Vornisel. The latter lacked precision to capture the goal. As the saying goes, if you fail to score, they will score. I this case, it was worth of scoring yourself. What actually happened later. Oleg Yastrebov in a safe situation passed the ball to Juric. Serghey for sheriff fans’ joy slipped on time after getting up from the grass gazed after the ball, which leisurely rolled into the goal net. 1:0. The shocked townsman goalie performed poorly in the next episode. Juric was trying to catch firmly Erohin’s far distance shot, but the ball got to his chest and redirected to the corner. After playing up the standard Erohin passed the ball above the crossbar.

                       

In the next episode the atmosphere of tension was softened by Vladislav Stoyanov. Having received a pass from his teammates, Vlad tried to play a game with some of red-greens just to entertain spectators. Having greatly performed the episode, Bulgarian got rid of the ball successfully, and the main thing, precisely to his teammate’s feet. By the end of the half, Stoyanov had to get involved into the ame seriously. After Tiraspol throwing in, Nichiloglo managed to shoot into goal mouth, Trukhanov was likely to finish his team attack, but on the last second, Stoyanov managed to snatch the ball from Victor’s foot.

                   

In the second half Trukhanov managed to shoot into the crossbar from the standard. The ball having ricocheted got into Stoyanov’s feet and passed the post in a couple of centimeters going to the corner. Also on the peak there happened to be Vornisel. After playing the corner, his shot was counteracted by omnipresent Stoyanov. The yellow-blacks found their answer to Vornisel’s offer. Adamovic, whom was given the credentials to perform all possible standards, made a high cross right from the penalty kick, Erohin passed the ball with his head to Diedhiou, Andre shot the ball like a cannon. Tiraspol defenders were on its way.

                    

All questions regarding the winner were answered on 83’ by Sheriff players. When having a result 1:0 the red-greens were trying to give birth to a goal and catch the draw, so losing 0:2, everything got clear for everyone.This is how it was done. Vlavimir Volkov having substituted Diedhiou trudged along the left side and made a surprisingly precise pass to Gheorghiev. Serghei passed with one touch under the crossbar 2:0.

                    

As a result – an important victory after unlucky start. So our team gains 47 points, increasing the advantage over the main competitors for the golden medals: Dacia and Iskra – for 4 and 5 points respectively. It’s worth of mentioning that in the same round Dacia in the away game in Suruceni failed to beat the local “Saint Gheorghe” 0:0, and Iskra-Stal’ actually was defeated by Dinamo from Bendery 1:2.
