After the postponed match of the 5th round of the Championship of Moldova, in which Sheriff was defeated by “Olimpia” with a minimal result, the coaches of both teams gave their comments on the game.
Andrey Sasnitski, Sheriff head coach:
- I completely disappointed with the content of the game and the result, despite the fact that there was a great rotation of the starting line-up. What was needed from the players, what was drilled during the training process – nothing was done.. They again switched to long passes, for a mess. The ball control was needed. We had to find free zones n the opponent defensive line. But nothing was done. Why is that? Firstly, psychology. We have to work it out. I have not seen the proper tuning. The opponent coach said it right – the player should have sparkles in their eyes, he he should show his performance by playing. And what was happening today – players were just soldiering. What is related to, the answer lies in the field of psychology.
Can you comment of the episode with the cancelled goal in the first half?
- I was sitting at the bench. I saw nothing from there.
Balima in the defense – is it an experiment or you are trying to convert him?
- No, it’s not. We are trying to convert him. Balima played on that position not for the first time. Due to Mamah’s departure, there are certain issues on the right flank.
What mood did the team have in the dressing room?
-It’s our internal issues. Of course, everybody is disappointed. Bu the fact that we are disappointed is our fault. It’s a shame for today’s game of the team. We will work it out.
