The Year 2011 has been successful for the FC “Sheriff” halfback - Anatolii Cheptine. The footballer made his debut in the Moldova National team and scored several important goals being a part of the Tiraspol team. Anatolii gave an interview to Moldfootball.com portal. He expressed his opinion about this year, told us which line FC “Sheriff” should particularly strengthen and also recollected the most memorable goals.

-         This year, perhaps, has been the most successful in your career. What do you think about it?         

-         Yes, this year has been interesting and successful for me. I made my debut in the national team. Maybe that is why the year was so successful, as I always dreamt to play for the national team. The club swayed back from side to side, sometimes everything went right for us, sometimes -wrong. In whole, the year was good. 

-         Despite the number of successful games and important goals, you will not get a place in the FC “Sheriff” first team. Why do you think is that?

-         You should ask someone else about it. If the coach assigns other players in the first squad, it means, they are better than I am, perhaps I do something wrong. But as any other footballer, I think, I deserve to play more.

-         How do you think, what line should be particularly strengthened by the team?

-         We have a good, balanced team. To be honest, it is difficult for me to say which line needs strengthening. But I know one thing – if each player works 100% on his position, it is not necessary to strengthen anything.

-         Do you know when and where FC “Sheriff” will go for the team practice session? Who will be your opponents in the sparring?

-         No, we do not know that yet. We are going to be gathered on December 26, we will be told about the future plans then.

-         FC “Sheriff” has already made a big acquisition during this winter break – signed the captain of Portugal youth team, João Pereira. Have you already had time to get acquainted with him?

-         No, we are on holiday at the moment. I have not got an opportunity to get acquainted with him yet. But I have watched 11 videos where he was playing, he is a good player. I hope, he will help us to win the championship.

-         We are voting for the best goals of the first part of the championship on our portal. There are 2 goals that you scored. Which goal would you vote for?

-         I think the most beautiful one was scored by Gorodetskiy in our goal. His kick was really cool.

-         What goal do you think is the most beautiful in your career?

-         There are 2 such goals. The first one was scored against Italy national team U-19 in the qualifying leg of 2009 European Junior Championship. My goal put Moldova ahead and we led the score 2:1, but lost the chance to win in the last seconds of the game. The second goal was scored against “Zimbru”. It is more beautiful and important than others.
