Ion Karas: «The two best teams of Moldova shouldn't be officiated like that»
«Sheriff» - «Zimbru». The press-conference
/ 10 November

Once after the 19-th leg match of the Moldova Championship, the press-conference with the participation of FC "Zimbru" head coach Ion Karas took place.

FC "Zimbru" head coach Ion Karas:

 - Today I am satisfied with the result. If there was the objective refereeing, we would take three points away from here. We set the task to win today. But the way of officiating in the game by the referees, especially in the second half, was no good at all. They were judging towards one side. The two best teams which fight for the top places in the league table shouldn't be officiated like that.

Dmitry Andrievskiy, TSV-channel. Does the question about the champion's title remain open, in your opinion, after this match?
- While we have some theoretical chances, even though "Sheriff" would extend the lead to 30 points, we would be struggling in any way. We will fight for the first place. The time will show.

Dina Koroleva, TSV-channel. You have expressed in the categorical form your thoughts about the refereeing, but only in relation to the second half. What could you say about the first half time and some moments when the referee frankly spared your players, in particular Lomidze or Catan?
- I don't remember those moments. I remember the real foul against our defender - the push in the back - when "Sheriff" was scoring the goal. Picusciac obviously pushed in the back - he won the struggle with the help of the foul, shot and they scored the goal. There was the clash when Balima got an injury but it was undeliberate. But during the second half all whistles were towards our side. The truth should be said. I think when 2 strongest teams of Moldova play a match it shouldn't be officiated like that.
