The fire not in the spirit of fair-play
The echo of the match in Beltsy
/ 06 November
The Saturday's match of the 18th leg of Moldova Championship between "Olympia" and "Sheriff" caused a number of disputes about the refereeing, and Vadim Dedenev’s referee team who officiated in that match was marked by so-called “record” of this season, having given the lowest estimates of their work. We met with FC "Sheriff" team manager Oleg Turcanu and asked him to comment the match:

The Football Federation of Moldova assessed the referees according to the results of the 18-th leg matches. How could you comment the estimate given to Vadim Dedenev which is the lowest one in the Championship?
- Vadim Dedenev has officiated in many games in the National Division before officiating in the match "Olympia" - "Sheriff". In other words, he is not a beginner among the referees. It's not my deal to judge the qualification level of referees who officiate in the matches of the Moldova Championship. There are the competent bodies in FFM for that. Unfortunately, we should agree with the decision of the Referees’ Committee.

What mistakes, in your opinion, could influence on the result of the match?
- Particularly, on the 25 minute the referee didn't point at the spot for the foul of FC "Olympia" against our player Alexander Erokhin. As well the yellow card should be shown to Bazan who played roughly with his straight foot in his penalty area on the 45th minute, when the free kick was appointed towards the home team's goal. For Bazan (the player who carries number 4 on his T-shirt) it would be the second yellow card which automatically had to be changed to the red one.

What factors could influence on the work of the referees?
- The refereeing was affected, in our opinion, by the external factors most of all. The main one of them was the fan's behavior on the stands. It was clear that everyone supported their own club as one could, but it was difficult to understand what was happening in Beltsy. There were racist shouts addressed to our team's players, obscene words about the referee and assistants in the case of any falling of the home team's players or in the case of decisions made in favour of "Sheriff". And in the second half time the plastic bottle with water was thrown towards Andrei Bodyan. Certainly, all that affected the situation.

Could it be connected with the nervous situation on the field?
- Undoubtedly, it influenced the referee. His decisions were not entirely logical. So, on the 38th minute the foul of Alexander Erokhin was fixed (for handling). At the same time, Vadim Dedenev didn't notice the push in the back made by the defender of FC "Olympia". And linesman Andrei Bodyan ignored this violation as well. After that, having seen the deliberate handling made by Alexander Erokhin, Vadim Dedenev showed him the yellow card, what was unreasonable, in our opinion. On the 40th minute of the match, the referee confined himself by making the verbal remark to FC "Olympia" player Gheorghi Ovseannicov for his kicking Luis Rodriguez's feet from behind.

At the end of this interview, we offer you the photos made by our photographer in the 18th leg match of the Moldova Championship between "Olympia" Beltsy and "Sheriff"
Tiraspol. As to what was happening on the stands, the Football Federation of Moldova should give its estimate according to the Regulations of the Championship.
