Florent Rouamba is one of the players who spent a half of the close season away from Tiraspol. Together with Benjamin Balima, Abdoul-Gafar Mamah, Kwami Eninful and other representatives of the African continent he took part in the qualifying matches towards 2010 FIFA World Cup. But judging from his play, it seems there was no pause for him in the Championship.
- Florent, how was the game against “CSKA-Rapid” formed?
- The first half time was very difficult for us. The home team put up resistance, they played the home match after all. In the interval our coach told us what to do and in the second half we played much better.
- Can you compare this match with the match vs. “Academy”?
- We were playing the match with “Academy” not so intensively. That was the first game of the Championship, the load had its effect on us and emotions took place as well. It was easier yesterday. We are getting used to the season. Usually after 3-4 games played we pick up the pace. I think we will come to the Champions League in an optimal form.
- Did the fact of your absence in the team during the period of preparation have an influence on your physical form?
- No, I feel very well. In my opinion, I am in a good form. I constantly played and trained in my National Team. I joined it straight away after the ending of the past season. I was at home only two days. In other words, I had no time to rest.
- How ready is the team for the season?
- In principle, we are ready for all tournaments, in psychological aspect – exactly. We have to improve our play in attack. There are some problems with realization of goal-scoring opportunities that we create. But it is the matter of time. We have just started the season. Of course, we will play still better and score more.
- You often supported the attack. Was it the direction of the coach or you acted according to the situation?
- Our team makes common cause, we attack together and defend together. Of course, I judge from the situation. If it is necessary, I move forward. It’s normal.
