Andrey Sosnitsky: “It’s necessary to put heart in the work at “Sheriff”
The newcomer gives a briefing
/ 14 June

As we have already informed, the coaching staff of FC “Sheriff” has been replenished with Belorussian specialist Andrey Sosnitsky and Yury Kulish who is already known to our supporters. Let’s take a closer look at Belorussian specialist Andrey Sosnitsky who gives us a briefing.

- Please, tell us a story of your arrival at “Sheriff”. What preceded it?

- I have joined the club only thanks to head coach Leonid Kuchuk. I know him from 1982. We played for the same team at that time. After the last call which had taken place at the end of May, 2008, we met in Brest at the beginning of June and came to the final agreement.

-What did you know about “Sheriff” before your arrival in Tiraspol?

- Well, there was enough information about “Sheriff”. I knew about the team from the moment of its foundation, and first of all from the press. Moreover, I am closely acquainted with Borovsky (the Belorussian specialist who trained “Sheriff” – noted by the press-cutting service). He told me a lot about the club. As well I got information from talks with coach-scout Viacheslav Levchuk. Of course, I watched the team, especially after “Sheriff” won the “Commonwealth Cup of CIS and Baltic States”.

- Is it your first visit to Tiraspol?

- No. I was in Tiraspol for the first time in 1986 when played for “Dinamo” Brest. The last visit was in March, 2005. At that time I came to the Sports Complex with “Slavia” team, Mozyr. We played the friendly game vs. “Tiligul” on the Small Arena. I was nicely surprised and amazed with the facilities of the Complex and ideal conditions for the training process.

- “Sheriff” has always set top tasks and sometimes it is very difficult to cope with the responsibility. Are you ready to withstand heavy duty?

- Yes, certainly. Otherwise I wouldn’t have come. It’s necessary to put heart in the work at “Sheriff and give 110/120/130/150 percent. In principle, it has attracted me here. Well, time will show. In addition, I have experience in the job. I worked for “Slavia” Mozyr during its best years. I was an assistant coach of Alexander Kuznetsov, the former player of “CSKA” Moscow. Later on I worked with exacting Serbian specialist Vlade Petrovich who trains Chinese national team now. At that time tasks in Mozyr were also important, so I am ready to work hard here.

- Do you know anything about the Moldova Championship?

- Yes, of course. It is no problem to find information now. I saw the match “Nistru” Ataki vs. “Shakhtar” Soligorsk with my own eyes. I was aware of “Zimbru” team. Apart from Tiraspol, I visited Chisinau, Beltsy.

- According to your service record, you were the champion of former USSR with “Dinamo” Minsk, weren’t you?

- Unfortunately, I played for the reserve team during that memorable season. We won third place in the tournament among reserve teams then. But I knew those guys who were the Champions. We have maintained friendly relations with each other until now.
