Echo of the match “Sheriff” – “Zimbru”
/ 13 March
In spite of the fact that status of the duel could generate considerable excitement from the part of the press, only a few representatives of mass media attended the match. During the post-match press-conference they practically didn’t put questions, so the head coaches contented themselves with the monologues –

Alexander Sevidov, “Zimbru”:

- Today we have defeated the strongest Moldavian team. Of course, it’s the extraordinary event. I would like to praise our young players who, being inferior to “Sheriff” in class and other components of football skills, could prove today that intensive work can produce a result. We had only two chances to play the match with dignity. First – to put every player’s heart in the work, and my guys knew that. Second – if the opponent had underestimated our youngsters. We still have a lot of work, you know. Our first match in spring was not good, then we played better and today we did our best. But our players should work hard so that we would be able to show good football.

Leonid Kuchuk, “Sheriff”:

- New players have been admitted to our team. They try to realize victorious traditions, but not always desires turn into reality. Some players have not grown to these traditions yet. They need to prove a lot. Today’s match was strange. It allowed us to see situation in a different light. The newcomers don't know how to play for results. I hope to bring them round and they will play for results instead of complaining to everybody that they are “jammed” and not given an opportunity to play. They must show on the pitch how they can play. And talking has to be left for journalists. Coaches and players must do their work.
