Straight away after the ending of the official presentation ceremony of rewarding FC “Sheriff” with gold medals for winning the National title of the 2007-2008 season, the “TSV” channel reporter asks our players and coaches what this success means for them:     

 

Leonid Kuchuk, head coach of FC “Sheriff”: I am glad about this Title. The second part of the Championship was not easy for us. That’s why I am glad for the team. I would like to say thanks our management, president, director of the club, all personnel of JSC “Sheriff”. We have always received powerful backing from them. And, of course, many thanks our supporters who have encouraged us to win.            

 

Sergey Alexeev, forward of FC “Sheriff”: I always get positive emotions when winning the Championship. And I dedicate this win to my grandfather.  

 

Aliaksei Kuchuk, forward of FC “Sheriff”: To become a champion is always pleasant. Every Title seems to be the first for me. And I am very glad about it.

 

- Was this Championship more difficult than previous tournaments?

 

- We have tried to improve our play from game to game and to win every match. But this championship was not easy. It’s good that we won first place and everything finished well.     

 

Vazha Tarkhnishvili, captain of FC “Sheriff”: Winning never bores.  

 

- Did you expect the match would be so effective?

 

- We hoped for winning and wanted to give pleasure to the spectators. All players did their best. I think the audience liked the match. Many goals were scored. It’s good when people leave the stadium in a joyful mood.   

 

Stanislav Namasco, goalkeeper of FC “Sheriff”: It’s my first national title and it’s an extraordinary event for me, especially when it happens for the first time. Now I would like to win one more medal in Moldova Cup. I have such medal, but it is the silver one.    

 

Evgheni Gorodetchi, midfielder of FC “Sheriff”: I dedicate this win to my family and relatives who always worry about me, especially to my dad and mommy. They have always visited both home and away matches. I am full of emotions because it’s my first national title.           

 

- How did this Championship pass for you?

 

- The main thing in football is a result. Judging from the last legs, it was not difficult. But it was hard in the beginning.     

 

- Did you expect so many goals scored? 

 

- We wanted to show good football and give pleasure to the spectators by scoring goals. Moreover, we wanted to win with a big score to prove once more that not in vain we became the champions.
