Several friendly games and qualifying matches for different international tournaments with participation of our players took place yesterday.
The main news is that Kennedy Chinwo took part in the last qualifying match between Olympic National Teams of Nigeria and South Africa. The Nigerians defeated South Africans by the score 3-0 (goals: Taiwo, Sylvester, Anichebe) and gained the right to participate in the final football tournament of the Olympic Games in Beijing this August. Provided that Chinwo goes to the Olympiad, he will become the first player of the Moldavian Championship who will participate in the Olympic Games.
Abdoul-Gafar Mamah and Kwami Eninful played 90 minutes each in the friendly game of National Team of Togo against Guinea. The match took place in the suburb of Paris, the capital of France. The team of Togo was defeated by the score 0-2.
Former players of our club Razvan Cocis and Mariann Aliuce had a hand in the defeat of Russia in the friendly game against Romania by the score 3-0. Cocis was fielded in the starting line-up and then, in the 85th minute, was substituted with Aliuce.
