The big International Tournament for U-17 National Teams comes to the end today in the capital of Belorussia. Moldavian National Team (which includes 13 pupils of Football Academy “Sheriff”) under the direction of Nikolay Mandrichenko took the final sixth place.
The duel for the fifth place ended an hour ago. In that match the Moldavian team was defeated by the team of Azerbaijan by the score 0-2.
In the group stage of the tournament the team of Nikolay Mandrichenko played the match against the Italian team in the draw 1-1, was beaten by the team of Russia (0-1) and defeated the national team of Belorussia (players born in 1992). It was notable that all goals of the team in the tournament were scored by the pupils of “Sheriff”. In the first match the goal was scored by Octavian Onofrey and the victory over the home team was won thanks to goals scored by Alexander Skripchenko and Vadim Murzak.
