Our second team under the direction of Vitaly Rashkevich keeps on preparing for the second part of Moldova Championship in Division “A”. During five days our youth conducted two difficult matches against the teams of National Division. Let’s remind that on Saturday “Sheriff-2” was defeated by the first team by the score 0-4.
The yesterday’s opponent was “Tiligul-Tiras” from Tiraspol - the 4-time holder of Moldova Cup. Of course, the teams had different tasks but the game proved to be very interesting in spite of the final score 0-0.
There was much fight on the field. Our players attacked better and created dangerous moments near the goal of the more notable opponent. Unfortunately, Ivanov and Vornishel came off the losers in the one-on-one with the keeper of “Tiligul”.
During the second half our team could score three goals at least, but the finishing touches were not precise. Nevertheless, the new back line of “Sheriff-2” coped with the task – no goals conceded.
That is how “Sheriff-2” head coach Vitaly Rashkevich has commented the course of the match: “We have analyzed in detail our play in the match against the first team when we were defeated 0-4. Now we have absolutely the new back line because our players are involved in training sessions with the first team. But guys, in the new combination, have coped with the task and this fact causes joy. When comparing this game with the match against the champion, we have succeeded in playing both on the centre line and in attack. The players have begun to understand each other. I would say they seek mutual understanding. As a result of that, they created goal-scoring opportunities. Of course, two matches in a row against the ND teamsexhausted us. But I am satisfied with my players who didn’t yield to the opponent in the fight. We played withdignity.”
