- I congratulate the opponent on the deserved victory. We expended a lot of energies and emotions in playing against “Zenit” and were beaten today in all respects. I think “Sheriff” is the strongest team in the group. Of course, I am upset that we have failed to qualify but, at the same time, I am glad that every time our team showed high level and progressed from game to game.

- The match proved to be dirty because of refereeing. I think the referee lost control over the game – he turned football into the usual battle. As for my players, I can say that we have achieved what we set out to do. I appreciate them for playing beautiful and intelligent football. They have learnt to use mistakes of opponents. Today I am satisfied with the play of all our players.
- How serious is Thiago’s injury?
- It is impossible to make a precise diagnosis right now. It’s difficult to define it by sight. I was talking with the doctor in the dressing-room and according to him the final decision would be taken in the hotel.
- If he will not be able to go onto the field, who will play tomorrow?
- We have at least eight forwards, you know. And all of them are very good. Anyone will be able to play well.
- Who, in your opinion, is the best player in your team now?
- My answer is quite simple, but it expresses truth. We are strong by team. All my 18 players who went onto the field were the best, and they all played professionally. I appreciate all of them. They deserve it.
