Welcome, Baye
Senegalese center back Baye Assane Ciss has become the newest player for FC Sheriff. The player has completed all the necessary procedures and signed a contract with the club.
The 21-year-old defender was born in Rufisque, located in the Dakar region. He learned the basics of football in his hometown, where he signed his first contract with Teunget.

This year, he was called up to the Senegal national team and took part in the African Nations Championship. In the group stage, they beat Nigeria (1-0) and drew twice. In the quarterfinals, Senegal beat Uganda 1-0 and only lost to Morocco in the semifinals, albeit in a penalty shootout. The team won bronze after defeating Sudan 4-2 on penalties in the third-place play-off. Baye, incidentally, was the captain of his country's national team.

The Sheriff FC team is happy to welcome Baye and wishes him luck with our club.
