Head coach of FC Sheriff Stjepan Tomas commented on the match against Spanish Real Sociedad:

 

- Firstly, I would like to congratulate Real Sociedad on their victory. We had a very good first half. We had moments. If we had scored, the game would have been different. In the second half, we missed a fast ball, then a red card of Mousa. Well, then, in 10 players, it became quite difficult. We will think about the second leg against Real, but before that there is a Championship match, where we will try to restore a positive attitude.

 

- Can we say that the sent-off of Mousa was a turning point and after that there was no chance of a positive outcome?

- Yes, I think so. After the red card, we immediately missed. With a score of 1:0 it would be different. At the same time, even with ten of us, we played well, did not let the opponent create many chances, and created chances on counterattacks. Vizeu had a moment, Cedric shot well on goal. But it turned out the way it did, unfortunately.

 

- Today there was a short bench, three of them were defensive players...

- Some players were injured in the match against Omonoia. Today we have more problems. Atimven received a yellow card and will not play in a week, Mousa has a red card. We'll try to come up with something. There are players who can substitute them against Real Sociedad.
