José María Sanchez Martinez will be the referee for the second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round between SC Braga and FC Sheriff.

 

The 38-year-old referee has been a FIFA referee since 2017 and has served the Spanish La Liga since 2015. The last match the Spaniard worked on was the duel between Villarreal and Real Madrid. This season, he officiated one match of the Champions League group stage (Sporting CP - Ajax 1:5), two matches in the group stage of the Europa League and one in the qualification of the Conference League.

 

He will be assisted by Raul Cabanero, José Naranjo and fourth oficial Cesar Soto. The referees for the VAR are Alejandro Hernandez and José Luis Munuera.
