Meet the Albanian midfielder Regi Lushkja.

 

- Regi, where does the interest to play for FC Sheriff come from?

- I heard a lot of good things about the Tiraspol club. I watched a couple of the team's games in the Champions League with interest. When the offer came, I immediately agreed to move to another country and team. This is an interesting offer for me and my career.

 

- Your whole career was spent in Albania and now - moving to another country. Why did you decide to do this?

- I played in FC Laci for 6 years - it was a very good time. Nice and friendly people, team and club in general. There I became a significant player, played a large number of matches. But I have a dream since childhood - to leave Albania in order to play for stronger European clubs. Sheriff is such a club and I'm glad to be here.

 

- What are your first impressions of the stadium and first trainings?

- I was already at two trainings, I liked everything. The coaching staff accepted me well, and the whole team is friendly. I feel comfortable, and this is important for every newcomer to the team.

 

- You played in one club for a long time, but what about the competition - now in our team?

- Six years in one club was enough to adapt to this. Competition is everywhere, it does not depend on the number of years spent in one club. I am ready for this, I will try to show myself from the best side.

 

- Have you set yourself a goal in the new club?

- My main task is to play well in every match. I need to help the team achieve high results.

 

- Do you have a few words for our fans?

- I will try to do my best in every match of the championship and in European competitions. I ask the fans to believe in me and the team - this is the only way to achieve high results.
