Today Sheriff played an away match with Rapid. The visitors instantly began to attack and seemed to want to score quickly. This exactly was done by our team - on the 12th minute Georgiev scored - he sent th eball into the net from the penalty box and the goalkeeper failed to help his team. In the first half Sheriff had total advantage and was able to score the second goal. Stanojevic entered the penalty area and was taken down by the opponent and the penalty was awarded to our team. Samardzic was precise and skillfully sent the ball into the net from the eleven meter point.

In the second half the hosts tried to create as many chances as they could to make the game level or even score just one goal. They had many standard positions, but they failed to use a single one. Sheriff was notable for Rata coming through the flank and giving the ball to Pesic, who, falling, just missed the net. Despite the willing of Rapid to score, they failed to do it because of the excellent play of Stajila and our good defense. Thus Sheriff gained a well deserved victory and will be preparing for the home match against Academia.
