Ousmane Ndiaye: «I'm impressed with the sport complex of the club»
The French newcomer of FC Sheriff Ousmane Ndiaye gave the first interview in the rank of the player of our club:
- Ousmane, what arguments forced to make the decision on transfer to our club?
- The decision was made quickly enough. My agent called me and told that there is an offer from FC Sheriff. Did not want to proceed from rumors therefore contacted Ziguy Badibanga. He told me that I can accept the offer to play in Tiraspol. Confirmed that I shouldn’t be afraid, such option even should not be considered. As a result I’m here, and I am very glad to this.
- Did Qualification of the Champions League become one of key factors upon transfer?
- No, I would not say so. It is rather 50 to 50. Euro cups - important page in my career, but it is not the main reason for my transfer. I wanted to open for myself a new country, new club and new championship.
- What did you know about Sheriff and the Moldavian football in general?
- Before transfer knew nothing either about FC Sheriff, or about the Moldavian football. After obtaining the offer began to be interested. Now I can say that I am impressed with sport complex of the club, I never saw such.
- Why did you choose football?
- It, I can say, was the choice by default. I dreamed to become a pilot. And when I finished study and plunged into a profession, there were many hours of training, I understood that I will spend the most part of time far from my family. And at this moment I was suggested to sign the football contract. And my destiny of the player was decided.
- Tell about your football qualities.
- I try "to read" the game, and I have a good speed. I will tell nothing in this plan, any more, probably, it will be biased.
- Name the most important events which took place in your life?
- The most important event is the birth of my son. One more moment - when I bought a house to my parents. And the next important event will be when I help my mother to return to Senegal. She waits for this very much.
- Have the first tasks in the club already been set?
- My purpose – at least to get with FC Sheriff to the group stage of the Champions League or Europa League. If we manage it – it will be magnificent.
