One goal victory
In the 8th tour game of the Reserve Championship, FC Sheriff won away with thу smallest score difference against their peers from Petrocub.
The first half passed in an equal contest mostly in the center of the field. Both teams exchanged one dangerous moment and went for the half time without a goal.
The second half went with both teams attacking. In the first 15 minutes after the break, there were several unpleasant moments at Maxim Bardish's goals. In the 53rd minute, our goalkeeper saved a shot fired in a face-to-face battle by Alexander Ambros. One minute later, another hosts' forward, Artiom Puntus, made a shot almost impossible to save, but the goalie again prevented it from coming into our net.
To own dangerous moments, Luka Pavlovic's squad were more attentive and managed to successfully convert one of the chances. In the 56th minute, Andrei Cobet rushed into the Petrocub penalty box and with a strong shot break through the opponent's goalkeeper. At the end of the game, our players had a tough defence. The hosts took a final control of the game but the Yellow-Blacks' defence was strong. The game ended with our reserves 1-0 victory.
