Moussa Kyabou: "My dream starts to come true"
FC Sheriff newcomer, midfielder from Mali, Moussa Kyabou, shared his emotions after joining a new football family:
- Moussa, share your impressions of the transfer to FC Sheriff.
- I am very pleased to have signed an agreement with FC Sheriff. My dream starts to come true. I live football and always give myself to this game entirely. I am doubly glad that I had the opportunity to prove myself in the most titled club of Moldova.
- Why did you decide to play for the Tiraspol club?
- I had several offers, in particular from Turkey. There was also an offer to move to Sheriff. I became interested in the club, looked through a lot of information, in the end I wanted to come here. That is why I am here. Once again I will say that I am glad to join the team, I will try to show my best qualities in order to put my name in the history of the club.
- In one of the interviews you said that you would like to leave a mark on the Mali national team - did you succeed?
- I really strive for this, recently we played in the final of the African Nations Championship. We lost the final, but overall we did a good job. We played a lot of strong games. This tournament was played by National Team B, made up exclusively of players who play in the African National Championships. The main team participates in the African Cup of Nations, mostly legionnaires - players who play in European championships.
- Will the move to FC Sheriff increase the chances to play for Mali in the African Cup of Nations?
- Certainly. But you need to proceed first of all from your game, you will still need to try to declare yourself. Only after that one can hope to get into the team.
- You are not the only Malian in our team, you know Adama Traore?
- We do not know each other personally, but I know well about the playing career of my “big brother”.
- "Big brother" but personally you do not know, how can this be?
- He made his way in football before. He has more knowledge and experience. From him you need to take an example and learn. We try to help each other, it is customary for us.
- From Africa to Europe - different mentality, way of life. Are you ready for a challenge?
- I'm ready and I'm not afraid of it. A player is also a traveler. In general, when I played as a teenager, I knew that I had to make a lot of moves. I know it’s not easy.
- Now, after signing the contract, have you determined for yourself what you want to achieve in the new club?
- I already have certain goals. One of them is to show more on the football field than people think of me. I want to show my leadership qualities for the good of the team.
