Mihai Stochita: "Today played the two teams who like to attack"
It was a beautiful game. Today played the two teams who like to attack. We played much better in the first half, and missed many opportunities. In the second half it was harder for us, because Zimbru played better. Despite of it, we had greater opportunities to score. In the second half Zimbru posessed the ball more, but they didn't have such opportunities, as we did. I think, that the result is right. Unfortunately for different reasons we constantly miss some first-team players - Onica, Ivanov, Rouamba. That's why we get problems. Today we had to put Luvannor to play left defender, and this left side of the pitch was problematic - Zimbru brought us trouble there.
Ten years ago you prepared Sheriff to games with Zimbru. Now the history repeats itself. What do you think, is the match Sheriff - Zimbru vital today, as it had been ten years ago?
I think this game is the most important in Moldavian championship. It's a tradition for me. When we play with Dacia, I don't feel like derby. More important and hard are the games against Zimbru.
What can you say about Pascenco and his progress?
If you look more attentively, Pascenco is not the only one who progresses. There are a lot of players - Metoua, Balima, Pesic, Stanojevic. Pesic today was not in his best shape, but played well. Haceaturov played well. It's very important for us. Dadu played well too, despite of constant problems with his leg. He is an experienced player and knows how to play.
You said there have been no option on the position of the left defender today. Apatic and Morales are not ready, or are there other reasons they couldn't play?
Apatic is sick, and Morales, unfortunately is not of Sheriff's level. It's a pity to state this, but I watch him every day, train him. This is how it is today. Maybe in the future, if Sheriff has enough time to grow him up, he will be in the first team, but not now. I have to be honest - if the player doesn't play good, I have to state it.
