Football Club Sheriff signed a contract with 31-year-old Argentinian goalkeeper Matias Degra.
Degra started his career in small Argentinian clubs like FC Talleres and FC 9 de Julio. In 2008 the goalkeeper moved to Greece where he played for such clubs as Apollon, Veria and Asteras. In 2011 the goalkeeper moved from Greece to Cyprus where he played for AEL FC. During two years of playing there the goalkeeper helped his team to become a champion of the country with his unique achievement: Degra could save seven penalties in succession in the championship. Being in AEL FC the goalkeeper could perform in the Champions League play-off round and Europa League group stage. In 2013 Degra was transferred to Portugal, in the team called Paços de Ferreira and spent one season there, also performing in Champions League play-off round and Europa League group stage.
