Luka Pavlovic: The team do their best and show their desire to win
FC Sheriff-2 head coach Luka Pavlovic commented on their 1:0 victory over Sfintul George.
- Congratulations on your victory, Luka Pavlovic! It was not an easy match, how would you estimate today’s match?
- Yes, I agree, the game was difficult and intense. Sfintul George is a strong and experienced team but today we did well and won, we had 3-4 more chances to score.
- After the break the opponent has a few dangerous attacks and was close to balance the scoring. Are these defenders’ mistakes?
- After the break visiting team made three substitutions with other attacking players. Of course, they had a chance to balance the score. Our players did a lot of pressing and did not let the opponent enter the box, thus keeping our goal safe. We did let them make a few acute attacks, but in matches with such an opponent it is hard to keep concentration. In general the defenders did well, not giving a chance for the visiting team to score.
- What was our advantage over the opponent?
- We were better in home zone and I am content with my midfielders’ game. I think it is the most important advantage in today’s match.
- 12th victory in a row in Division A. What do you think is the reason for such a result?
– Of course, the team do their best and show will to win. The work of coaching staff is worth to be mentioned. We get stronger relationship in the team each time. I have been one year in the team, and through this time I could go along well with my colleagues in terms of the Russian language. Now we have all game links under control and today I can assure that every player has reached a higher level in his improvement. But the most important is not to stop and keep on improving our game.
