The final is always a difficult match. The last match of FC Sheriff at the 2009 Champions Cup of the CIS and Baltic countries was no exception.

 

Having not lost a single match in the tournament, the squad, which was led from the bench by Leonid Kuchuk, met an old friend - Kazakhstan Aktobe. A friend because they met in the Champions League qualification. We were stronger then in the sum of two matches, we were stronger this time either. In the penalty shootout.
