High-performance second half
FC Sheriff youth team, thanks to the high-performance second half of the away match with FC Zimbru reserves, achieved a draw (3:3), having missed three scored goals in the first half.
The “yellow-black” actively played in; in the first minutes “bisons” didn’t manage to impose to the rival their football. Our reserves showed good control of the ball and quickly passed to the half of the pitch of the home team. However the wards of Vladimir Aga managed with the starting pressure of the guest team and the game gradually gained very torn character. When the home team traditionally played dynamic counterattacks with active use of both sides, pupils of Sheriff Academy played more in positional attack, trying to find tears in Zimbru defense. Our reserves were the closest to open the score in the match. However the top scorers of the championship Andrei Cobet and Marín Caruntu lacked accuracy for goal. In contrast the home team which made the most of the standard positions having scored two goas. The goals were scored by Alexander Graur and Ion Doncu. And several minutes later after the second scored goal, the home team managed to put the third ball to the goal of Vladislav Liharev. Nikita Urashko at a speed broke on the left side to the penalty area and from the tight angle made a shot to the upper 90 – 3:0.
After the break the situation on the pitch turned around and our youth team started to win back three missed balls. Having shown character, our players began to get more actively into the penalty area of the goal of Maxim Kovalev who, by the way, was powerless over cool executed penalty kick of Evghenii Oancea – 1:3. Several minutes later Marin Caruntu reduced the backlog of our team to one scored goal. The forward, having received the ball in the penalty area, faked a shot and go around two defenders of the home team and struck the ground angle of Zimbru goalkeeper – 2:3. On the 65th minute of the match Evhenii Oancea netted double thanks to crafty execution of free kick – 3:3.
Reserves of Chisinau team became puzzled after that and our players continued to attack. In the remained period of the game it was possible to pressurize the rival and to win a strong-willed victory. However "wasps" didn't manage to realize several more dangerous moments, unfortunately.
