The approach of the beginning of the new year entails another licensing of football clubs. This time for the 2024 calendar year and the new season, 2024-2025.
Alex Zavrl, Head of the Club Licensing Department of the European Football Union, is currently in Moldova. The guest spoke at a seminar organized by the Moldovan Football Federation, and also, a UEFA functionary decided to see with his own eyes how the infrastructure of FC Sheriff is arranged.
During the short time that the UEFA functionary stayed in Tiraspol at the Sheriff Sports Complex, he managed to look at the entire sports complex and appreciated the club's investments in the development of not only professional football, but also conditions for the development of youth football.
"You are at a very high level in terms of developing and increasing opportunities to practice football. But FC Sheriff is a young club. It's impressive," said Alex Zavrl.
Only in recent years, the grandees of world football, Real Madrid, Italian Inter and Roma, and other famous clubs have played at the Main Arena of the Sheriff Sports Complex. And these days, a major international tournament is being held on the fields of the Football Academy with the participation of more than 1,000 children from Moldova, Transnistria, Romania, and Ukraine aged 7 to 16 years. And all the guests of our house have always been satisfied with the quality of the fields and infrastructure provided.
