Goran Sablic: We implemented what we had planned
FC Sheriff head coach Goran Sablic about the match with FC Speranta:
-Good evening. Today we’ve achieved a very important victory. We performed a mission which faced us. It was difficult to regroup. We gave the rest to several players. It is connected with that we play in three days on the fourth. We gave chance to the players who played not so much. The first half the team played well and scored two goals. In the last 30 minutes of the match the team gave ground a little. It was clearly seen that Posmac, Susic and others were tired. We ceased to control the game. There was no advantage in control of the ball. For about 25 minutes we defended and won.
-Can you say that everything has passed in a standard mode? Maybe the substitutions were made a little late- if two goals were scored in the first half you could make substitutions in the intermission?
-Yes, it was something like this. We implemented what we had planned – won the match, some players had a rest. Of course, it would better to give the rest and both to Badibanga and Jo, to let them leave the pitch earlier. We also planned to replace Susic. But then the game started in the last portion which didn’t allowed us to field Belousov.
-The match with Valur is ahead. How can you define the one-goal lead?
-The advantage is little in such games. It is such a result that gives advantage, but doesn't give the chance to relax. We go there with a thought that the score is 0:0. We’ll adapt to the rival’s playing. Tomorrow we’ll work with analysis of the first leg. We’ll play their on artificial pitch. It’ll be a little more difficult. On the other hand, if Valyur attacks more, we will have more space. We have three days for recovery and for good preparation for the match.
