Another hero of the category FC Sheriff Stars is Ion Testemiţanu. He played six seasons in FC Sheriff in total.

Ion Testemiţanu’s career started in his native FC Zimbru where he played seven years. Then the player moved to England and became a part of Bristol City. Testemiţanu is the only Moldovan player who performed in English championship. Then the player moved to Korean championship. In that country he played for three clubs. In 2002 Testemiţanu was transferred to FC Sheriff. Later he played in many other countries but each time returning to Moldova he signed another contract with FC Sheriff. FC Sibir, Terek, Inter Baku – the clubs where the defender Ion Testemiţanu played.

In 2003 FC Sheriff won Latvian Skonto in Commonwealth Cup final and the winning goal was scored by Ion Testemiţanu.

He played 56 matches and scored 5 goals for the national team of Moldova.
