FC Sheriff – FC Samtredia
FC Sheriff second sparring at the training camps against the third team in Georgia finished with a victory of Zoran Zekic’s team by the score 1:0.
Despite the fact that FC Sheriff played two different halves, our team dominated during most time of the match. On 10th minute of the match FC Sheriff had a good attack, in the course of which Ricardinho and Ernandes showed themselves on a good part. The latter one fulfilled a good flank pass on Vadim Pairelli after which the yellow-blacks player shot at one touch, however FC Samtredia goalkeeper made a good save. In the first half hot-blooded Georgian players caused some brannigans which gave energy to both of the teams. FC Samtredia had a ball possession for some time but it did not lead to any dangerous moments. FC Sheriff tried to play quick counterattacks which were not always converted to shots at the goal.
The second half had more dangerous moments. In a few minutes after the restart Ricardinho was close to open the scoring but his shot was not precise. The next attack was even more acute when one of the players on trial did not convert one-on-one shooting at the goalkeeper. By the end of the game one of Georgian defenders saved his team by clearing from the goal-line after the shot by Kadu. The last minute of the match was a happy one for Eugene Rebenzha and all our team. Kadu sent a pass from the penalty area and Rebenzha headed in right into the goal of FC Samtredia.
FC Sheriff wins with minimal scoring and provides at least a good mood for themselves. On February 7 the champion plays against FC Bohemians Praha.
