FC Sheriff – AFC Botosani. Two against one
Due to the break in the championship FC Sheriff had a friendly match against the Romanian club AFC Botosani.
The game turned out to be interesting and exciting. FC Sheriff started very actively. At first Kadu made a firm shot over the crossbar, then again Kadu sent a great pass to Ricardinho who outplayed the goalkeeper but got into the post. In a few minutes Botosani goalkeeper Kalin Tiut made a mistake, Kadu got the ball but somehow he missed. But finally Kadu sent an exquisite pass to Ricardinho and he sent it to the far corner. But the “yellow-blacks” did not stop after that. Kadu decided to make a shot by himself but again Tiut played safely. AFC Botosani responded in a shot by Sebastian Iank, though not a very precise one. On 34th minute the referee stated a penalty shot. In a game episode Galvao and Iank clashed, however the referee saw it from our player’s side. Gabriel Vasvari converted the penalty shot.
The second half was started by the Romanian players in quite a dangerous way. Paul Batin shot at the far corner, though Matias Degra was there to make a save. Right after that four of our players could score a goal, the closest chance was missed by Thiago Galvao. Later FC Sheriff could score a winning goal. Kadu made a shot from the penalty area to Balima who headed the ball to the far post where Juninho Potiguar was not left anything to do but not to miss – 2:1.
