FC Costuleni – FC Sheriff
In 30th round of the National Division FC Sheriff from Tiraspol played against FC Costuleni in Orhei. The result of the match would influence the pre-term silverware of FC Sheriff. After winning FC Costuleni by the score 2:0, FC Sheriff became a pre-term champion three rounds before the end of the championship. FC Sheriff became the Champion for 13th time in its history! But first things first.
The first minutes of the match were taken under the lead by our team. Marcel Metoua sent a pass to Kadu from the right wing but Adrian Patrash was able to block it. The hosts responded in a dangerous shot by Andrey Bugneac when the ball flew near the crossbar. An even more dangerous shot was performed by Vladislav Ivanov but he missed. By the middle of the half got not so interesting. The teams mostly fought in the centre of the field. In one of such moments Ricardinho made a strong shot at the goal but the goalkeeper made a save. A similar shot was performed by Metoua but Patrash made another good save.
The game became more alive in the second half. On 54th minute FC Sheriff made a good counter attack. Kadu played with Luvannor who sent the ball to Vadim Pairelli who made a shot along the goal line but neither Ismail Isa, nor Luvannor could turn home. On 76th minute FC Sheriff carried out an effective attack. Kadu, Luvannor and Potiguar put through a combination which was finished by Juninho Potiguar! He was assisted by Luvannor Henrique who played his 100th match for FC Sheriff today. In four minutes the “yellow-blacks” showed who will be the winner today. Kadu got Potiguar one to one who in his turn outplayed the goalkeeper and scored the second goal. In the last five minutes FC Costuleni made our defenders nervous. Maxvell was close to score twice but at the first time Miral Samardzic played well and in the second time the ball got into the crossbar.
So FC Sheriff wins by the score 2:0 and becomes the Champion ahead of time. On May 7 FC Sheriff will go back to Orhei where the team plays in terms of 1/2 of the Cup of Moldova. FC Milsami is our team’s opponent.
