Disappointing defeat
In the central match of the 26th round of the Junior-reserves Division FC Sheriff youth team lost to the reserves of Sfintul Gheorghe (1:0).
Since the first minutes the “yellow-black” gained initiative and didn't give it to the guests throughout all first half of the match. Our team confidently showed good control of the ball and created a large number of the dangerous moments. Take, for example, the shot of Jeremy de Nooijer to the crossbar and Italo Visacre shot to the bar of the Dmitri Burak goal. However the score in the match wasn’t open to the break.
The second half wards of Luka Pavlovich began also actively however the score was opened by the guests. On the 60th minute of the match Artiom Karostoian having passed on the left sideline came head to head with Maxim Bardis. The shot from the tight angle scored the goal – 0:1.
The home team ran forward to recoup. The ball almost didn’t leave the half of the pitch of Sfintul Gheorghe players. Shots from the long range, positional attacks, the played standards - all this advantage in the game of our team, unfortunately, wasn't implemented in the scored goal. The sphere persistently didn't go to goal, sometimes in dangerous episodes our players lacked only a few centimeters to hit the target.
Having shown substantial football and having created a large number of scoring chances, FC Sheriff reserves have sustained a disappointing defeat, having yielded to the visiting team the first line in standings of the championship.
