Croatian newcomer of FC Sheriff Benedik Mioc - about his decision to move to the “yellow-black” team, about the game with the bronze medalist of the Moldova Championship in European competition and about the secrets of team success.

 

- Benedik, welcome to FC Sheriff

- I am very happy about this event, Sheriff is a very big club for me with its victorious traditions. I am pleased to feel, let’s say, the extra strength for the new team.

 

- How did the decision on the transfer appeared?

- Sheriff is a serious project in Moldova and in Europe. Regular participant of the Champions League and the Europa League. For me, this transfer is a step forward, an opportunity to raise my level of professional career higher. I received only positive information about the club, so it didn't take much time to accept the offer.

 

- You say you take a step forward. Isn't the Croatian Championship stronger than the National Division of Moldova?

- As I said, Sheriff is a regular participant of the Champions League, it motivates me to prove myself here in Tiraspol. In this regard, definitely, I took a step forward.

 

- In the Europa League, Osijek played with FC Petrocub. Did you take part in that confrontation?

- Yes, I played then, and in both matches. Then I could not make a mark with a scored goal, but the main thing is that we passed further, having beaten our counterpart. Undoubtedly, I will be glad to play again and try to help my new team once again achieve victory over this opponent.

 

- You played more than 100 matches for FC Osijek. Describe this stage of your career.

- I was happy to play all these matches. Osijek is a very important club for me, which is located in my hometown. I began to learn football at a local academy. It was difficult to leave, but I understand that I need to move on.

 

- The secret of team success from Benedik Mioc - what is it?

- A good atmosphere and mutual understanding in the team, a set of cool players, a good coach and correctly set tasks for ourselves.

 

- How do you see yourself in the new team?

- Tiraspol club has always been famous for competition on all positions. It is important for me to work hard in order to gain the right to play in the starting line-up. Such a goal will make me stronger and the whole team. It is necessary to strive for this.
