FC Sheriff's second team secured its first victory of the new Liga 1 season. In the second round, Sergei Ragulin's charges defeated local side FC Olimp 1-0 in an away match in Comrat.

The outcome of the match was decided by Yegor Ivanov's goal, which was the only one in the game. Reliable play in defense allowed the team to maintain a minimal advantage until the final whistle.
